Bill recites poems by time’d masters, as well he throws in his own. His poetry varies from childhood ponies to ranching to wrangling horses in the mountains. Inspiration comes from the beauty of a mountain trail, the campfire flames and memories of his childhood on the ranch.
He wasn’t born in Alberta, but he got here ’bout as quick as he could. Where he grew up in northwest Ontario, they had plenty of four-legged horsepower to tend cattle, and way too many sheep for Bill’s liking. He started roll’n and pitch’n hay bales at an early age and was horse logging by the age of 15. A few of his many labels in life are farmer, rancher, logger and trail guide.
